Grades 1–6: strong basics in reading, math and good values.
In the elementary years your child learns to read well, count and solve problems, and build good habits. FI follows the DepEd MATATAG curriculum, taught fully online.
Subjects
- Grade 1: Language, Reading and Literacy, Mathematics, Makabansa, GMRC (Good Manners and Right Conduct).
- Grades 2–3: English, Filipino, Mathematics, Makabansa, GMRC – with Science added in Grade 3.
- Grades 4–6: English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science, Araling Panlipunan, EPP, Music and Arts, PE and Health, GMRC.
A week of learning
Every week has one clear topic per subject. Your child gets a Learning Book (explanation, examples, practice), a quick check, and an activity to do at home. You get a Parent Guide with tips and answers.
Example – Grade 4 Math, Week 14: solving word problems with more than one step, like "Mia buys 3 notebooks at ₱25 each and pays ₱100. How much change?"
How much screen time?
- Live Online: one 2½-hour class block, Sunday–Thursday, then offline practice.
- Self-Paced: no class times; about 2–3 hours of work a day, mostly on paper.
What parents do
For Grades 1–3, sit with your child for reading and practice – about 20–30 minutes per subject. From Grade 4, children do more on their own; you check the plan and the quick checks in My FI.
