For employers: check an FI certificate
Every FI alumni document has a QR code and a certificate number (for example FI-ALR-…). Scan the QR code or type the number below. The page shows the holder’s name, the course, the completion date and whether the certificate is valid.
Only public-safe details are shown. Private contact details, payments and grades are never shown.
Need your certificate attested?
Attestation is an optional third-party service by our partners in Bahrain and Qatar. The partner handles the process and sets its own fees, which you pay directly to the partner. Your FI documents stay free.
Partner contact details are inside My FI → Alumni & Records → Attestation. Available in Bahrain and Qatar only for now; partners for the UAE and other countries are being finalised.
Acceptance of any document is decided by the receiving authority, employer or school. FI cannot guarantee it.
Studying again?
Use the same My FI account. Your new course joins your alumni record, and your 10% alumni discount is applied automatically.
Alumni FAQ
Are FI alumni services free?
Yes. All FI alumni documents and services in My FI are free: certificate, badge, Alumni Record, Good Standing, course record, English letter, CV and replacement digital copies. Only attestation, an optional service by our third-party partners, has partner fees.
I studied with FI years ago. Can I still get my certificate?
Yes. Sign in to My FI with the email you used when you studied. If your courses do not appear, use Find my FI courses, or contact the Records Office in My FI. We check our records and add verified courses.
I do not remember which email I used.
Create My FI with any email, then use Find my FI courses and enter the old email. We send a one-time code to that email to confirm it is yours.
How can my employer check my certificate?
Every document has a QR code and certificate number. Your employer scans the QR code or enters the number on our verify page and sees that the certificate is valid and issued by Filipino Institute.
Can I get a printed copy?
We are digital first. You can print your certificate at home on A4 (landscape) or save it as PDF. Every printed copy still carries the QR code for checking.
Can I add my FI course to LinkedIn?
Yes. Each certificate has an Add to LinkedIn button that fills in the course, issuer, date, certificate number and verify link for you.
Are the alumni discounts automatic?
Yes. When you enrol yourself or your child using your My FI account, the 10% alumni discount is applied automatically.
