Learn at home, on your family's schedule.

Self-Paced is for families who want a full school year without fixed class times. Your child follows a clear plan each week in My FI, works offline as much as possible, and a teacher checks progress.

Who it is for

  • Families whose schedule does not fit a fixed class time (shift work, travel, different time zones).
  • Children who learn well with a parent or guardian nearby.
  • Families who want less screen time – most work is reading, writing and practice on paper.

What your child gets every week

  • A weekly plan for every subject: what to learn, what to practise, what to hand in.
  • A Learning Book per subject with explanations, worked examples and practice.
  • A Parent Guide with simple tips and the answer key.
  • Quick checks so you can see if your child really understood – with a second try if needed.
  • Teacher feedback on submitted work, and a teacher to ask when your child is stuck.

A normal day

About 2–4 hours depending on grade, at any time of day that suits you. For example: read the lesson in the morning, practise after lunch, do the quick check before dinner. Parents of younger children (Nursery to Grade 3) usually sit with them; older children work more independently.
