PAYMENTS

Payments, Cancellations & FI Credit

Please review the applicable fee, installment schedule and service conditions before paying. Filipino Institute’s standard policy is that verified payments for programs and services are not refundable in cash. Where FI approves a refund or adjustment, the normal remedy is FI Credit that may be applied to an eligible FI program or service.

No cash refundsfor verified program and service payments as the standard FI policy FI Creditis the standard remedy when a refund or adjustment is approved Exceptions remainwhere required by applicable law or payment-network correction rules

Before payment

Confirm the program or service, learner or customer, amount due, installment schedule where offered, inclusions and important cancellation conditions. Paying confirms your intention to proceed with the selected FI service.

No cash refunds

As FI’s standard policy, verified payments for tuition, training, pathways, reviews, certification, document services, event services and other FI services are not refundable in cash after payment has been confirmed, except where a different remedy is required by applicable law or a transaction must be corrected under payment rules.

FI Credit instead of cash

If FI approves a refund, cancellation adjustment or other service credit, the approved amount is normally issued as FI Credit rather than cash. FI Credit may be applied to an eligible FI program or service. The amount, eligible use and any conditions are confirmed when the credit is approved.

What FI Credit means

FI Credit is a service/account credit and is not a cash withdrawal. It does not normally have cash redemption value. Where applicable law or a payment provider requires a different form of correction or refund, FI will follow that requirement.

Cancellation or withdrawal

Cancelling, withdrawing, stopping attendance or deciding not to continue does not automatically create a cash refund. Any remaining installment obligation, transfer option or FI Credit eligibility depends on the terms shown for the specific enrollment or service.

Duplicate or incorrect payment

If you think you paid twice, used the wrong reference or paid against the wrong service, do not send another payment just to correct it. Keep the payment references and ask FI to review the transactions. A genuine duplicate or payment error may require a correction, reversal or credit depending on the payment method and applicable rules.

Third-party costs

Institution, embassy, government, courier, translation, delivery or other third-party charges can have separate rules. Amounts already paid to or incurred through a third party may not be eligible for FI Credit unless they are recoverable.

Store returns & exchanges

Physical products follow the applicable Store return or exchange rules, including item condition, size, damaged or wrong items and fulfillment status. Nothing in this policy removes any remedy that must be provided under applicable consumer law.

IF FI APPROVES A CREDIT

Your approved value stays with your FI journey.

The approved amount is recorded as FI Credit for eligible future FI programs or services rather than paid out as cash, unless a different remedy is required by law or payment-network rules.
