Evidence, not automatic credit.
Employment history can demonstrate capability, but it is not automatically converted into completed modules, academic credits or credential eligibility.
PEDAP means Professional Experience & Development Assessment Pathway. It is a Filipino Institute professional assessment and development pathway—not a CHED, DepEd or TESDA national programme and not an academic-degree equivalency scheme.
PEDAP is strict on purpose: it gives no academic degree, does not turn years of work into completed modules automatically, does not guarantee recognition abroad, and does not award a credential for years of work alone.
Employment history can demonstrate capability, but it is not automatically converted into completed modules, academic credits or credential eligibility.
FI maps evidence to the selected professional Diploma, identifies weak areas and assigns assessment or required learning where necessary.
The outcome is the FI Professional Diploma — Prior Experience Pathway, once you complete all requirements.
This is an FI screening tool, not a government eligibility test and not a credential decision.
FI will not promise a credential from a public screening result.
The My FI Demo shows the same 12 steps.
| Question | PEDAP | Standard Professional Diploma | ETEEAP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main basis | Prior professional experience + evidence + FI competency/gap review | Structured FI learning curriculum | Prior learning + institutional academic assessment under CHED ETEEAP |
| Provider / decision authority | Filipino Institute professional pathway | Filipino Institute | Applicable CHED-authorized/deputized HEI |
| Intended outcome | FI professional credential after full PEDAP completion | FI Professional Diploma after governed programme completion | Academic outcome/degree through the deputized HEI when all requirements are met |
| Work experience | Central to screening and evidence | Helpful but not required for every programme | Required and relevant under current CHED rules |
| Academic credit | No FI academic-credit claim | No academic-credit claim | HEI may determine equivalency/credit under ETEEAP rules |
| Government framework | FI's own pathway (not a government program) | FI professional-learning programme | CHED-governed ETEEAP |
| Assessment | FI professional competency assessment | Programme assessments | HEI assessment |
| Attestation / acceptance | Document- and country-dependent | Document- and country-dependent | Depends on the academic document and applicable authority chain |
This is an FI service policy, not a government entitlement. Identity, evidence, programme fit, document rules, credential use and country-specific requirements still apply.
This is Filipino Institute's current PEDAP screening rule, not Philippine law, and meeting it does not guarantee a credential.
Browse all 141 Diplomas across 20 current families. A selection is a possible professional-field reference, not automatic eligibility.
Each evidence item should connect to a real role, responsibility, action, result and relevant professional capability.
The sample checker shows how FI separates strong evidence, partial evidence and real learning gaps.
The actual mix depends on the selected programme and the evidence already available.
Provide stronger employment, project or competence proof where the case is incomplete.
Complete relevant lessons, modules, projects or guided learning where knowledge/capability is not sufficiently demonstrated.
Resolve deficient work or repeat the applicable professional assessment when rules permit.
FI confirms that required evidence, learning, assessments and corrections are complete before credential eligibility.
The name makes clear it is not an academic Associate Degree.
It is not presented as a Philippine academic Associate Degree, CHED degree, TESDA National Certificate, PQF level award, professional license, immigration qualification or automatic employer-recognized credential.

Assessment retakes, separately priced required learning, attestation/legalization, courier, translation and third-party/document-service costs.

PEDAP is Filipino Institute’s Professional Experience & Development Assessment Pathway, an FI professional assessment, recognition and development service.
No. PEDAP is an FI professional pathway. ETEEAP is a separate CHED-governed higher-education pathway implemented through authorized/deputized HEIs.
FI does not present PEDAP as a CHED-created, DepEd or TESDA national programme. PEDAP is governed as a Filipino Institute professional pathway.
No academic degree is promised through PEDAP. The outcome is an FI professional credential after completion of the applicable evidence, assessment and learning requirements.
The current credential is “FI Professional Diploma — Prior Experience Pathway.” Older historical FI credentials retain the title originally issued to them.
Current FI PEDAP screening policy uses at least one year of relevant professional work experience for initial review. This is FI policy, not government law, and does not guarantee credential eligibility.
Yes under current FI PEDAP policy. All-nationality access is an FI service policy and remains subject to identity, evidence, programme fit and country-specific document/credential rules.
No. Work experience is evidence. FI may map evidence coverage, identify gaps and assign assessment or learning requirements; it does not automatically turn years of work into completed modules or academic credits.
Possibly. If FI identifies competency gaps, missing evidence or assessment deficiencies, required learning, projects, corrections or reassessment may be assigned before completion review.
PEDAP can use professional assessment methods such as portfolio review, interview, knowledge checks, case tasks, work-product validation or an integrated final assessment depending on the selected programme.
It is the current FI PEDAP pathway/service fee covering the review, field alignment, evidence, competency and gap check, assessment and completion steps described on this page. Separate learning, retake, attestation or third-party charges may apply only when disclosed in advance.
No. Attestation/legalization concerns document authentication. It does not guarantee academic equivalency, employer acceptance, professional licensing, visa approval, immigration acceptance or a particular job outcome.
PEDAP can help organise professional history and evidence, but it does not automatically create ETEEAP eligibility or academic credit. ETEEAP must be assessed separately under the current CHED framework.
PEDAP is a professional pathway—not an academic-degree shortcut.
Current FI screening policy uses at least one year of relevant professional work experience. This is FI policy, not government law, and does not guarantee credential eligibility.
PEDAP uses the exact current FI Professional Diploma catalog as the professional-field reference rather than inventing a separate programme list.
Work history, training, projects and professional outputs are organised and mapped as evidence coverage. Experience is not automatically converted into modules or academic credits.
FI can identify missing evidence, competency gaps and required learning or assessment before completion.
The credential is the FI Professional Diploma — Prior Experience Pathway, issued only after you meet all completion requirements.
Current fee: ₱8,500. Separate assessment retakes, separately priced learning, attestation/legalization or third-party charges apply only when disclosed before payment.
