PRIVACY

Privacy at Filipino Institute

FI uses personal information to provide learning, enrollment, records, payments, communications and related services. Access to learner, family and account information should follow the person's role and the service being provided.

Information FI may need

Depending on the service, this can include account and contact details, parent/learner relationships, enrollment information, learning records, submitted requirements, payment references, service requests, communications and records needed to provide or verify the requested FI service.

Children and family information

K–12 experiences should keep parent/guardian and learner access distinct while allowing the appropriate family relationship to manage enrollment, learning visibility, requirements, payments and records.

Who can see information

Information should only be available to the person, parent/guardian, teacher, staff member, assessor or authorized service provider who needs it for the relevant FI relationship or task. Public credential verification intentionally shows limited information.

Payments and service providers

Payment and delivery partners may process information needed to complete a transaction or service. FI should not ask you to share passwords or full sensitive payment credentials through ordinary messages.

Communications

FI may use My FI notifications, email, WhatsApp or other approved channels for service updates. Marketing communications should respect applicable consent and opt-out choices.

Your questions and requests

If you need help with access, correction, records, privacy or another data-related question, contact FI through the official Contact or Help Center.

Privacy principle

Collect what is needed for the relationship or service, protect child and family information, limit access by role, and keep private academic records out of public search.
