K–12 Programme Information & Important Notices

Please read this before you enrol. It explains exactly what Filipino Institute (FI) provides, who issues your child’s official school records, and what families living outside the Philippines should check.

1. What FI provides

FI is an online learning provider. We provide the teaching (Live Online classes or Self-Paced homeschool), DepEd-aligned learning materials, teacher feedback, progress tracking and the My FI parent portal. FI is registered in the Philippines and operates online from the Philippines.

2. Official enrolment and school records

FI is an online learning provider, not itself a school, and does not issue DepEd report cards or permanent records on its own. Official school records – the Learner Reference Number (LRN), report cards (SF9), permanent records (SF10) and certificates of completion – are arranged with a DepEd school. Before you pay, we confirm in writing how your child’s official enrolment and records will be handled.

3. All classes are online

All FI K–12 classes – Live Online and Self-Paced – are delivered 100% online. FI does not run physical K–12 classes or campuses in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain or any other country. In Qatar and Bahrain, our independent partner centres – Wisdom & Success Educational Center (Doha) and Wisdom Success Academy W.L.L. (Manama) – operate under their own local licences and may host community events such as recognition and graduation ceremonies. They do not provide FI K–12 classes.

4. Two intakes

  • June intake – Philippine time: Monday–Friday, classes from 8:00 AM PHT. For families in the Philippines and international families who prefer Philippine time. Next intake: June 2027.
  • August intake – Middle East time: Sunday–Thursday, classes from 8:00 AM Qatar time (UAE/Oman +1 hour). Next intake: August 2027.
  • Self-Paced homeschool: start any month.

5. Families living outside the Philippines

FI K–12 follows the Philippine curriculum. Official records are for the Philippine education system. Rules in your country of residence may be different. For example, in the United Arab Emirates school attendance is compulsory for resident children up to the end of primary level, and online or homeschool programmes from outside the UAE may not be recognised for transfer to a UAE school or for a UAE equivalency certificate. Parents are responsible for complying with the education rules of the country where they live. Please check with your local education authority before enrolling.

6. Fees and payments

Tuition is an annual commitment paid in 12 monthly payments. Pay only to the Filipino Institute company account shown on the Tuition Fees page and in your My FI billing statement. An official receipt is issued for every payment. FI never asks you to pay into a personal account. K–12 is a one-year programme: please read the K–12 Enrolment Agreement and the Payments, Refunds & FI Credit Policy before paying.
