Everything for your child is in one place: My FI › My Family. This guide takes about five minutes. It works the same on a laptop, an iPad or a phone.
START HERE
Your child studies with FI through a centre (for example in Qatar) and you have an activation code? Open Activate your family account first, then come back to step 2.
1. Sign in
Go to filipino-institute.com/my-fi-login and sign in with your email and password. Tip: on iPad, tap the Share button in Safari, then Add to Home Screen. My FI then opens like an app.
2. Open My Family
After signing in you see My Family at the top of My FI (or open /my-fi/family/). Each child has their own card with:
- Live class time (Live Online): the next class and the time in Qatar, UAE/Oman and the Philippines.
- This week’s subjects: tap a subject to open the Learning Book and the Parent Guide.
- Download Week (PDF) and Download all of the term (PDF) for studying offline.
- Mark week done to keep track, and the term report (PDF).
3. Study offline
On a laptop (Windows or Mac): tap Download Week. The PDF goes to your Downloads folder. Open it any time, even without internet, or print it.
On an iPad or iPhone: tap Download Week, then tap the download icon (arrow) at the top of Safari and open the file. Tap the Share button › Save to Files (or open it in Books). Your child can write on the pages with Apple Pencil in the Files app (tap the pen icon), or you can print them.
On Android: the PDF goes to Downloads. Open it with Google Drive or any PDF app.
Download the whole term once when you have good Wi-Fi. If we update a week, you will see an Updated label, so download that week again.
4. Join live classes (Live Online)
Classes run Sunday to Thursday on Google Meet. Your class link and homework are in Google Classroom (the invitation was sent to your email). Install the free Google Meet and Google Classroom apps on iPad for the best experience. Join five minutes early with the camera on.
5. Hand in work
Take a clear photo of each finished page (good light, whole page in the frame) and upload it where your teacher asks: in Google Classroom for Live Online classes.
6. Stay updated
