Tuition fees can be confusing in many schools because it’s not always clear what is included and what counts as an additional expense. At Filipino Institute, we want parents, OFWs, and students to know exactly what they are paying for. No hidden charges. No surprises.
This guide explains what your tuition fee covers — and what it does NOT cover — for all programs and learning modes.
1. What Tuition Covers Across Most Programs
All FI programs include essential academic and training components. These vary by category but generally cover:
- Instructor-led sessions (face-to-face or virtual live)
- Access to learning materials (PDF, modules, handouts)
- Assessments and examinations
- Digital certificates (for diplomas and short programs)
- Academic support / student services
- OJT placement (when applicable) for diploma programs
These inclusions ensure your tuition fee covers the core academic experience required for completion.
2. What Tuition Covers by Program Category
A. Early (Playhouse Program)
- Daily play-based learning sessions
- PDF activity sheets
- Age-appropriate materials provided in class
B. School (K–12)
- Full academic subjects
- PDF books (hardcopy optional)
- LMS access (for online modes)
- Quizzes, projects, and quarter exams
C. Career & Work (Professional Diplomas)
- 4 months (16 weeks) of training
- Expert trainers with industry experience
- Offline or online learning materials
- OJT assistance (if available for the program)
- Certificate of Completion
D. Self-Paced Online
- Full online access to modules/videos
- Assessments and activities
- Digital certificate
E. Lifelong Programs (Degree / ETEEAP Guidance)
- Application support
- Document preparation
- Credit evaluation assistance
3. What Tuition Does NOT Include
To ensure complete transparency, here are the items not included in tuition fees:
- Uniforms (Playhouse, K–12, selected diploma programs)
- Hardcopy books (optional for K–12)
- Graduation fees (depends on venue)
- MOFA attestation – optional, only if students need it for abroad
- Medical requirements (for specific OJT partners)
- Field trips (Playhouse and K–12)
- Special events (Moving Up, Recognition Day, etc.)
These exclusions are standard in most schools to keep tuition affordable and flexible.
4. Why FI Separates Optional Fees
Some schools include everything in one large fee, making tuition appear more expensive. Filipino Institute separates optional fees so students and parents only pay for what they really need.
- Not all students need MOFA
- Not all students need hardcopy books
- Not all students require uniforms (especially online learners)
This structure keeps tuition affordable, transparent, and fair for all learners.
