The Filipino Institute (FI) K–12 Academic Support Program is a structured learning support and guided study program designed for Filipino students abroad who wish to continue the Philippine K–12 education pathway while living overseas.

FI is not a school.
Students are officially enrolled in a DepEd-accredited partner school in the Philippines, which issues all official academic records, while FI provides daily learning support, coaching, and guided instruction using DepEd-aligned MATATAG curriculum modules.

What FI K–12 Is (and What It Is Not)

✅ What FI Provides

  • Guided learning support based on DepEd-aligned modules
  • Daily academic reinforcement and coaching
  • Homework, project, and assessment support
  • Reading, writing, math, and comprehension drills
  • Structured routines and study habits
  • Face-to-face, virtual, and self-paced learning support
  • Coordination with the PH partner school

❌ What FI Does NOT Do

  • FI does NOT issue LRNs
  • FI does NOT issue report cards or Form 137
  • FI does NOT conduct official DepEd exams
  • FI does NOT replace a formal school

📌 All official academics come ONLY from the DepEd-accredited partner school in the Philippines.

Partner School & Official Academic Records

Students are enrolled in FI’s DepEd-accredited partner school in the Philippines, which provides:

  • ✔ Learner Reference Number (LRN)
  • ✔ Report Cards (Form 138)
  • ✔ Permanent Records (Form 137)
  • ✔ Official DepEd grading and assessments
  • ✔ DepEd-approved MATATAG modules
  • ✔ Official Philippine school-year calendar

FI supports students daily so they can successfully meet the partner school’s academic requirements.

Learning Modes (3 Flexible Options)

🏫 1️⃣ Face-to-Face Learning Support (Most Recommended)

Available at FI centers in UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain.

  • 4-hour guided sessions per day
  • Students study PH school modules with FI facilitators
  • Strong structure, routines, and discipline

Session Options:

  • 🟡 Morning: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • 🟠 Afternoon: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Ideal for students who benefit from hands-on guidance and in-person support.

💻 2️⃣ Virtual Learning Support (Live via Zoom / Google Meet)

  • Real-time guided sessions with FI facilitators
  • Digital DepEd-aligned modules (PDF)
  • Ideal for families far from FI campuses or who travel frequently

🔑 Virtual learning is live and scheduled — not self-paced.

🏠 3️⃣ Self-Paced Learning with Teacher Monitoring

  • Students study independently using PH partner modules
  • FI monitors progress, homework, and projects
  • Monthly parent updates provided

Ideal for families with changing schedules or time-zone constraints.

School Year Structure (DepEd-Style Calendar)

  • 📅 School Year: June 1 – April 30 (11 months)
  • ☀️ Summer Break: May 1 – May 31

Because FI provides 4-hour guided sessions instead of 6 hours, the school year is structured to maintain academic depth and quality.

Academic Quarters

  • Q1 (June–August): Foundations & Skills
  • Q2 (September–November): Reinforcement
  • Q3 (December–February): Mid-Year Strengthening
  • Q4 (March–April): Mastery & Completion
