The Grade 1 English – Free Self-Paced Course is a supplementary online learning program delivered through the FI 2.0 Learning Management System (LMS). It is designed to help learners develop early skills in:

DepEd-Aligned and Organized by Quarters
The course is aligned with DepEd learning competencies and is organized into four (4) quarters, following the familiar structure used in Philippine basic education.
📘 Quarter Breakdown
Quarter 1 – Alphabet Knowledge & Sounds
Learners are introduced to the alphabet, vowels and consonants, and beginning letter sounds.
Quarter 2 – Word Reading & Vocabulary
Learners practice reading CVC words, common sight words, and word families.
Quarter 3 – Reading Comprehension Basics
Learners read short phrases and simple sentences and use pictures to understand meaning.
Quarter 4 – Early Writing Skills
Learners practice writing letters, words, and simple sentences with proper spacing and punctuation.
Each quarter contains 3 structured lessons, for a total of 12 lessons in the course.
