The FI Foundation Emergency Aid Program provides immediate assistance to students experiencing unexpected hardships, helping them continue their education during difficult times.

This program exists to ensure that no Filipino is left behind, even in moments of crisis.

⭐ WHAT IS EMERGENCY AID?

Emergency Aid is direct, short-term support provided to students who face sudden events that deeply affect their ability to study, work, or pay for tuition.

This assistance is given on a case-by-case basis and is designed for urgent, genuine, and temporary financial emergencies.


πŸŸ₯ SITUATIONS COVERED BY EMERGENCY AID

The FI Foundation may provide help for the following situations:

1️⃣ Sudden Job Loss

  • Termination

  • Non-renewal

  • Unexpected layoff

2️⃣ Salary Delay or Unpaid Wages

Common among OFWs facing employer issues.

3️⃣ Medical or Health Emergencies

For the student or an immediate family member.

4️⃣ Repatriation or Emergency Return Home

When an OFW must return home due to emergency reasons.

5️⃣ Domestic Issues Affecting Study

Situations where personal safety or stability is compromised.

6️⃣ Crisis Affecting Payment Ability

Any unexpected event preventing a student from meeting tuition deadlines.


🟦 TYPES OF EMERGENCY SUPPORT WE PROVIDE

1️⃣ Temporary Tuition Hold

Pause payment deadlines while allowing students to continue learning.


2️⃣ Emergency Tuition Reduction

Short-term reduction in fees for 1–2 months.


3️⃣ Special Payment Arrangement

Customized installment plan based on the student’s situation.


4️⃣ Educational Support Materials

Optional support such as digital modules, access extensions, or learning aid.


5️⃣ Referral to Additional Assistance

If needed, FI may connect the student to:

  • Community support groups

  • Government assistance

  • Employers

  • Partner organizations


🟩 WHO CAN APPLY?

Students in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and the Philippines may apply if:

βœ” They experience an emergency that directly affects income
βœ” They are currently enrolled or planning to enroll soon
βœ” They can provide reasonable proof of the emergency
βœ” They are committed to continuing their studies once stable

Priority is given to:

  • OFWs who lost jobs

  • Students affected by health crises

  • Families experiencing sudden financial strain


🟧 HOW TO APPLY

STEP 1 β€” Fill Out Emergency Aid Form

Describe the incident and the type of support needed.

STEP 2 β€” Submit Proof of Situation

Examples:

  • Termination letter

  • Salary delay message

  • Medical documents

  • Repatriation papers

  • Police report (if applicable)

Not all documents are required β€” only what is available.

STEP 3 β€” Foundation Review

Cases are reviewed urgently within 24–72 hours.

STEP 4 β€” Approval & Support

Aid may be granted immediately depending on severity.
