Filipino Institute’s employee of the month dedicates achievement to mom
As the Filipino Institute continuously recognizes the efforts of its employees, Ryan Namia, the editor-in-chief of The Global Filipino Magazine, a subsidiary company of the training institute, hailed Employee of the Month for March 2021.
Namia has been working for the publication since the onset of the pandemic last year. A pioneer employee in the magazine, he is tasked to go through over drafts of new written content and determining which ones make the final cut for online and print publication.
“Everyone of us, including those who are remotely assigned in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, and Qatar have been working hard for the company. I know for sure that they, too, deserve recognition. This segment, employee of the month, is a morale booster and I have to admit that the kind words and appreciation that my colleagues mentioned in the video are all fluttering. I would like to dedicate this success to my mom who has been my inspiration since day one,” Namia said.
A Bachelor of Arts in Journalism graduate, he started his career as a staff writer for a Dubai-based Syrian-owned Filipino newspaper.
During the employee of the month selection, 10 out of 20 employees have cast their vote in favor of him.
“I think any person who works beyond what is expected of him, or her, deserves an accolade. and when I see a person doing his best, and his best benefits all the stakeholders of this institution… he should have been bestowed the gratitude worthy of equivalent,” Trebb Gomez, the social media manager, said.
For his part, the marketing manager of the Filipino Institute said that Namia’s recognition as the employee of the month has been long overdue.
“Kahit na marami siyang extracurricular activities, nagagawa pa din niya ang trabaho niya,” Lloyd Perez, one of the deans of the training institute, said.
