To fulfill her life long dreams for her family, Anna Mercedes Viernes ventured into an overseas life in 2016. Just like many Filipino migrant workers, it was also her dream to provide her family a comfortable life and spoil her family members, especially her kids who she left in the Philippines.
A nursing undergraduate, Anna is currently working as an administrative staff at the Success Wisdom Professional and Management Development Training LLC, a company affiliated with the Filipino Institute. The company, which was just unveiled last December 28, is a review and learning centre which caters to the needs of those who want to review for IELTS, learn new languages, among others.
A holder of a caregiver certificate, she has first worked as a sales executive and promoter for Procter and Gamble in the Philippines for one year wherein she actively sought new sales opportunities through outdoor selling. Part of her task is also to negotiate and close deals to achieve better sales results and ensure to achieve the monthly quota.
Anna was also given a chance to work as an admin executive for a review centre in the Philippines. As an admin assistant, she acted as the point of contact between the executives, internal, and external clients, and produce reports, presentations, and briefs.
In 2016, she arrived in Dubai with nothing but her work experience from the Philippines. She worked as a cashier for Al Maya Group until 2020. Aiming to achieve success, she applied in the Success Wisdom to work as administrative staff.
When asked about the best part about working in the company, she said it’s the chance of working with well-mannered superiors and colleagues.
