Filipino Institute conducts first in-person graduation since March
Happy faces were seen at the first in-person graduation ceremonies of the Filipino Institute since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Students gladly received their certificates and diplomas yesterday, December 4, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Deira, Dubai.
According to the organizers, around 120 students and guests have attended physical graduation. Strict Covid-19 guidelines were set by the hotel management and the school to prevent the spread of the virus.
In his speech, Mr. Gabriel John Rimando, the founder and the president of the Filipino Institute, recalled the last physical graduation rites which took place last March 6, 2020, at the Asiana Hotel in Deira. He hopes that the post-pandemic graduation rites will be a sign of full restoration.
Students from the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Caregiver, Medical Coding, and Massage Therapy, among others, from in-person and virtual class, joined the celebration.
