
‘Wala ako ngayon kung nasaan ako without Filipino Institute’
An overseas Filipino worker in Dubai revealed that without the help of the UAE-based educational institution Filipino Institute, she couldn’t achieve what she has today.
Summer Belle, on her YouTube channel, created a video to showcase how investing in education has helped her to gain more confidence to secure a promotion.
Summer, a political science graduate, has enrolled herself first in English Proficiency. With her gusto and determination to learn, she graduated with flying colors and consistently topped the class.
“Puhunan ko yung knowledge lang. Alam naman natin na kapag gusto mo pumasok sa work, hindi lang dapat experience ang dala dala mo, dapat meron ka ding evidence–meron kang certificate, meron kang diploma,” she said.
Summer said she was lucky to know the Filipino Institute which offers affordable and quality education to the growing number of Filipinos in the Middle East.
“Thankful ako sa FI. Wala ako ngayon kung nasaan ako without Fi,” she said.
She clarified in her vlog that she was not paid by the institution to testify her brilliant experiences as she embarked on a new journey.
The Filipino Institute, which now offers online classes, has campuses in Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain, and Abu Dhabi. They are also present in Bahrain and Qatar.
“Kung gusto niyo ma-promote, mag bago ng career, mag iba ng career, I would suggest the Filipino Institute,” she said.
How it all started
In her previous job, her daily routine work was not challenging. “Dumating sa panahon na mag-aantay na lang ng lunch, miryenda. Parang ganun na lang lagi, I got bored so why not try FI,” she said.
As she enrolled herself in the English Proficiency course, she graduated with flying colors and was qualified for the scholarship program.
As a person with a curiosity trait, she learned HR and Admin basic. She said that as an expat, she had to learn the law related to employment.
Summer graduated was hailed as top 1 of her class and use this milestone to continue her education in the Filipino Institute.
